✏️ How to Edit the Website

1. Go to deancrossnovels.com
2. Click the small "✏ Edit Site" button in the top right corner of the navigation bar, or "Admin" at the bottom of the page
3. Enter the password when prompted
4. Make your changes in the editor panel that slides open on the right
5. Click "Apply Changes" or "Save Book" when done
6. A file called index.html will automatically download to your computer

🚀 How to Publish Changes to the Live Website

1. After saving, find the downloaded index.html file in your Downloads folder
2. Right-click it and choose Send to, then Compressed (zipped) folder. A file called index.zip appears next to it
3. Log in at Porkbun Domain Management (bookmark it!)
4. Find the deancrossnovels.com row and click the green hosting icon, the first icon in the row
5. Click PUBLISHING on the left
6. Under Upload a Zip, click the blue "upload zip file" button and choose index.zip
7. Wait about a minute, then visit deancrossnovels.com to see your changes!

📚 How to Add or Update a Book

1. Click "✏ Edit Site" and enter the password
2. Click the "Books" tab in the editor
3. Click on the book title to expand it and edit the details
4. Add the title, description and Amazon link when the book is ready
5. Upload the cover image with the Cover Image button
6. When a book is published, change its Section to "Available Now" so it moves up into the Books section
7. Click "Save Book", then publish to Porkbun as above

📷 How to Change Dean's Photo

1. Open the editor and stay on the "Content" tab
2. Scroll to About Section and choose a file under Author Photo
3. Click "Apply Changes", then publish to Porkbun as above

📧 How the Newsletter Works

• When readers sign up on the website, they are automatically added to the MailerLite email list
• For now, Dean's signups go to Mia's group to gather initial readers
• Log in at mailerlite.com to send newsletters and see subscribers
• The account email is David@mktg.org

Switching to Dean's Own Group

1. In MailerLite, create a Dean group and an embedded signup form that adds people to it
2. Copy the form's code (the short code in its embed snippet, like Dzn9Y7)
3. Open the editor, go to Content, paste it into MailerLite Form Code
4. Click "Apply Changes", then publish to Porkbun
